Race hard bro..., you may be gone for a while but you will never be forgotten!!!
Jason Brian Day, 28, of Louisbourg passed away suddenly, December 28,
2003, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney. Born in Sydney he was the son of Norman
and Lillian (LeMoine) Day. He was employed with Fishermen's Scientist Research Society until
his passing. Besides his parents he is survived by his wife April (Wareham); two daughters,
Brianna and Kayla; one sister Norma Dixon, Sydney; three brothers, his twin Jamie, Montreal, Cory,
Halifax and Parker, Calgary; paternal grandmother, Janie LeMoine and grandfather, Norman Day Sr.
He was predeceased by his grandfather, George LeMoine and grandmother, Roseanna Day.
He will sadly be missed by his many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
From April Day (Jason's wife)
Having a memorial page would be very nice and Jason would love that and I'm glad
that his passing brought your league closer together. The only things I can tell you about Jason
was he loved life very much he was always on the move, and Nascar racing meant alot to him. Ricky
Rudd was his absolute favorite driver and no matter how many times the guy didn't win Jason would
always stand behind him. His favorite hockey team is Montreal Canadians, baseball was the Cardinals
and other than that his family Brianna and Kayla. I thank all of you for your kindness during my sad
time and it makes me feel happy that people that really didn't know him as a person would show so
much respect for him and I know he's up in heaven smiling down.
It was like one of his friends had told me he's probably somewhere driving a race car right now, and that
made me smile because that would mean everything to him.
Keep in touch and thank you again,
April

I met Jason a little over a year ago on line racing. We raced against each
other and became good friends. He asked me to join this new racing league AARSOL, I explained
that I wasn't that good. Jason said that didn't matter to him because I raced clean.
Jason asked me to be his team mate and drive the #21 car because Risky Rudd was his favorite
driver. We raced as teammates for about 4 races before we left because of connection
issues. We stayed friends racing for fun.
In September 2003 Jason asked me to Join him in a new league (N4Nites) where we were to be team
mates again. We were getting ready for the off season when Jason became ill and passed
away. Jason's [passing hit me hard because he died of what almost took my life in January
1999. I decided not to race for awhile thinking some time needed to pass so I could remember
my friend. Then I thought what would Jason say to me. He would say you got to get
up and race. I did!!
Know for sure that there is racing in heaven and Jason Day is taking the checkered flag. I
will never forget jason28... until we meet again.
