How to take a screenshot in NR2003

The top 3 drivers in the finishing order may be required by the Admins to provide a screenshot of their F-5 screen after the race.  This page gives you the instructions on how it is to be done.

After the checkered flag, the top 3 finishers are to drive to the start/finish line and park side by side.  Each driver is then to bring up their tire wear screen by pressing F-5 on their keyboard and zoom out their driving view to the "Far Chase" viewing screen.

To take the screenshot, find and press the "print screen" key on your keyboard.  The picture below will help you find your "print screen" key.  The location of the "print screen" key may vary depending on your individual keyboard, but all keyboards have one.

After you have pressed "print screen", you can exit the game.  Next, you'll need to open up your choice of paint or imaging programs and paste the screenshot into it.

Every computer that comes with Microsoft Windows has a paint program.  You can find it from your desktop by going to "Programs" then "Accessories".  When you find it, open it.

Once you have Paint open, click on "Edit" and then "Paste" as shown below.

Once you've pasted the screenshot into Paint, you can now save it somewhere on your hardrive as an image file to send to the race Admin.  To save the image, click on "File" then "Save As".

In Paint, you'll have to save the image as a .BMP file.  If you use another image program, you will have the option of saving it as a .JPG file, which is the preferred file format.

This process must be completed within 10 minutes after the race has ended.
